Overview:
As a Solution Architect, you will lead the development and delivery of comprehensive technology solutions that address client requirements across traditional on-premise infrastructure, server, storage, network, and cutting-edge cloud technologies. You will collaborate closely with the delivery technical team and sales/account team to craft compelling solution offerings that meet client needs. Your role encompasses technical leadership, solution design, proposal preparation, compliance management, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design and Development:
- Develop end-to-end solutions spanning traditional and cloud-based architectures.
- Leverage leading-edge technologies to architect complex solutions, focusing on modern data centre, hybrid cloud, and emerging trends.
- Incorporate security best practices into solution designs to address client concerns.
Client Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, solving client business problems and building strong relationships with technical stakeholders.
- Present and articulate solution benefits convincingly to both internal and external stakeholders.
Proposal Preparation and Compliance Management:
- Lead proposal preparation, ensuring alignment with client requirements and technical standards.
- Address technical and security concerns, and complete compliance responses for proposals.
- Oversee tender proposal write-up and presentation, showcasing the value proposition of proposed solutions.
Technical Leadership and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, business units, technical teams, and support services to drive solution development and delivery.
- Provide technical leadership in bid management, solution sales, and project delivery.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of current technologies and industry trends, driving the development of new solutions to benefit clients.
- Contribute to organizational development through knowledge sharing and collective solution development efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education with specialized experience in Solution Design, IT/TC, or Security.
- Over a decade of experience in technology-related fields, with a strong background in solution architecture and design.
- Proficiency in traditional on-premise infrastructure as well as cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Extensive knowledge of Data Centre architectures, virtualization, WAN/LAN Networking, and Software Defined technologies.
- Experience in integration solution designs, microservices architecture, and API management platforms.
- Strong technical skills in areas such as Java, Linux, Python, virtualization, containerization, and automation.
- Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams, and drive technical excellence across the organization.
Desired Skills:
- Relevant certifications such as CCIE/CCDE, VCP, VCDX, AWS, Azure, GCP, RHCE, and TOGAF.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS DevOps).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and standards.
- Proficiency in application development frameworks and languages (e.g., .NET, Angular, React).
