The Job Coach will support the job matching of persons with special needs into suitable job roles. He/She liaises and collaborates with key stakeholders to identify workplace requirements and oversee placement of trainees into related job roles. He/She will work with the employers to identify required training and accommodation at the workplace for long term continued employment of these trainees. He/She provides job coaching support for a specified duration after the trainees are placed into jobs.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessment
- Develop effective job coaching and employment plans
- Source and secure relevant training opportunities
- Provide support during training
- Assist trainees to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals
- Discover trainees’ strengths and motivation, work with them to develop their skills
- Guide trainees in learning to complete job tasks
- Conduct job-readiness assessment
- Profile trainees to employers for suitable job roles
- Advise on workplace accommodations for these trainees
- Monitor and evaluate progress of trainees
- Provide Post-placement job support

- Strong people management and coaching skills
