Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching French as second languare course module for Primary Year 1 to 5 and Lower Secondary Year 6 to 8, Cambridge curriculum.
- Proficient to teach English as core subject for Primary Year 1 to 5, Cambridge curriculum.
- Basic and intermediate levels for French syllabus.
- Will sit as an Advisory Teacher and Subject Teacher (French & English) for other grades.
- Taking daily student attendance and maintaining student leaves records.
- Dynamic and able to teach with expertise in Cambridge/IB curriculum (competency in French and English modules)
- Knowledge to teach French as second language in Cambridge Curriculum is a must.
- Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-lower secondary students.
- Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive active learning environment.
- Planning, preparing, and presenting differentiated lessons that cater the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
- Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative class activities to foster intelligence and curiosity.
- Preparing, marking, and providing feedback to facilitate positive student holistic development.
- Meeting requirements for the assessment.
- Records, evaluates, and reports student’s holistic development.
- Providing feedback to parents on students progress.
- Working collaboratively with parallel teachers to plan and coordinate lessons.
- Organising and taking part of school events, field excursions or outings, and other monthly school activities.
- Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as and when required.
Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum educational certificate in Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent disciplines such as Certificate in French - DELF A1 TO B1;
- Cambridge Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Teachers is an added advantage.
- At least 3 year(s) of relevant teaching experience in schools.
- Pedagogical certification qualifications preferred.
- Exposure in other international curriculum such as Cambridge/IB PYP MYP DIP/IGCSE/CBSE/ICSE.
- Who can teach and conversant with French as a module is a must for students taking the second language - French.
Teacher Welfare:
- Works only 5 days a week from 9AM to 3:30PM. Wed - 5:30PM
