Job description
Data team is responsible for the timely delivery of comprehensive and error-free data to both systematic and discretionary portfolio management teams. Data scientist is responsible for design and development of database infrastructure and ensure day-to-day data support for research and live production.
Responsibilities
- Design SQL database framework
- Building process for data collection, tagging and cleaning
- Building process for data validation and storage
- Communicate with researchers and portfolio managers on database development and understand investment team requirements
- System maintenance, ensure database is stable, secure and scalable.
- Day-to-day support for live trading
Requirements
- Bachelor or above degree in computer science, applied mathematics or other quantitative subjects.
- 3- 5 years’ experience working as a data scientist
- Experience in working with large dataset, including classification, descriptive statistical analysis and predictive modelling
- Programming skill in SQL, TSQL, SQL server or PL-SQL
- Programming skill in python, familiar with numpy, pandas, know at least one of C#, C++ or Java
- Familiar with version control and software development life cycle
- Will be a plus to have experience in dealing with tick, intraday and order book level data
- Communication in Mandarin Chinese will be a plus
