Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparation & baking of pastries, cookies, desserts & cake
  • Operational kitchen management including quality control
  • Planning, designing, and executing dessert tables
  • Keeping and enforcing cleanliness in the process
  • Ensure that pastry preparation is efficient, productive, and within budget
  • Establish controls to minimize food costs, supply wastage, and pilferages
  • Strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and NEA hygiene requirements and practices
  • Responsible for the daily management and food production of the Pastry Kitchen; ensure maximum quality & profitability
  • Responsible for the hygienic and safe preparation of food within the kitchen
  • Ensure all food items are prepared as per stand recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control & minimizing wastages
  • Ensure that food stock levels within the kitchen and pantry areas are of sufficient quantity & quality; in relevance to the restaurant reservations & events forecasts
  • Ensure all products received into the kitchen are of the required standard & quality and those they stored & rotated correctly
  • Ensure that food preparation equipment is being used safely & correctly; cleaned and maintained as per schedule
  • Inspect product presentation & continually review & update when necessary
  • Arrange for service and maintenance of pastry making equipment
  • Other ad-hoc duties as requested

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Pastry/Bakery
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment; leadership & good interpersonal skills
  • Possess a positive attitude and cheerful disposition
  • Able to work split-shifts including public holidays and weekends
  • Immediate availability
  • Only Singaporean are preferred due to quota limited
