Assistant Wholesale Manager

Chan Brothers Travel (pte) Limited

As an Assistant Wholesale Manager for our wholesale department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of our B2B business. Your primary responsibilities encompass sales and customer service, sales and marketing, staff management, and budget oversight. Your goal is to ensure a seamless and successful operation while maintaining a high standard of customer service.


Responsibilities

  1. To market, promote and sell Chan Brothers Group of Companies tour packages to registered travel agencies (TAs) in the region.
  2. Collaborate closely with the product development team to enhance awareness and boost sales of destinations, tour packages, and services.
  3. Recruit, train, and manage sales staff.
  4. Monitor and improve staff performance to meet sales targets.
  5. Verify booking accuracy upon reservation.
  6. Resolve TAs customer complaints beyond individual staff capabilities.
  7. Assist in training TAs staffs and provide tour briefings to TAs customers whenever necessary.
  8. Assist in collection of tour fare (deposit/balance payment) prior to departure.
  9. Coordinate workforce and setup for TAs road shows and travel fairs.
  10. To continuously expand market reach and Chan Brothers Group of Companies’ market presence in Malaysia and Indonesia
  11. Any other ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in travel and tourism, hospitality, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of sales staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Mandarin.
  • Proficiency in using Office applications; knowledge of reservation and booking systems is advantageous.
  • Strong selling skills are necessary to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Effective task prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively, especially in critical situations.
