We are actively searching to add a dynamic business development leader with a proven track record in client management, delivering white-glove solutions and partnership to sophisticated clients. Artemeter seeks individuals with over 10 years of experience in top-tier finance organizations and a robust global client network, especially within the upper tiers of the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about sustainable impact finance and environmental stewardship, possessing a strong understanding of environmental assets and net zero pathways.
The Managing Director’s primary responsibility will involve business development, cultivating and nurturing institutional client relationships on a global scale. In a small and growing company, the Managing Director will collaborate closely with senior leaders across Artemeter and DRW Holdings, in addition to our partners and operations team members. We expect the Managing Director to play a pivotal role in driving our business growth with clear annual corporate and individual KPIs.
To excel in this position, you must develop a comprehensive understanding of our firm's climate investment platform and our current and potential client base. A successful candidate will have some relevant experience in carbon markets. Your duties will encompass various aspects of new business development, including identifying prospective clients, refining marketing materials, managing investor pipelines, and actively engaging with clients and consultants across the territory. The Managing Director will have the autonomy to innovate and pioneer new commercial solutions for bold clients with the support from the broader Artemeter and DRW Holdings colleagues.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:
· Relevant degree or in excess of 10 years of experience; a combination of technical, financial engineering and commercial skills is advantageous.
· Significant relevant, commercial work experience gained from a bank, equity fund, advisory services, corporate finance firm; with a demonstrable track record of successful business development, project development and execution
· Good understanding of policy analysis and policy formulation in the areas of climate change, resource efficiency, energy efficiency and technology transfer.
· Ability to operate consistently within business guidelines and ethics and work sensitively in multicultural environments, building effective working relations with clients and colleagues.
· Self-motivated, ability to work to and meet tight deadlines and to plan and organize work unsupervised in a logical and efficient manner.
· Ability to communicate appropriate, concise, and accurate information in verbal and written formats appropriate to the audience at the time.
· Prior work experience with transacting financial, insurance or other related products/services to the airline Industry, Oil & Gas, Shipping, Mining, Utilities, Investment Banking/advisors, Manufacturing companies and any other business that would generate a large Carbon footprint.
· Strong quantitative and analytic skills
· Experience in building trusted client relationships and closing deals with senior stakeholders.
