Job Description:
- Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms and models for various applications such as object detection, image classification, segmentation, and tracking
- Lead architecture design and development of a video analytics platform by working closely with the robotics and web application team
- Explore, integrate and benchmark production ready machine learning & computer vision algorithms for surveillance/security/facility management robots
- Act as subject matter expert and lead the adoption of machine learning & computer vision technology, where applicable, for both internal and external customers
- Contribute to overall architecture design and documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelors (with experience) in Computer Science with a focus in machine learning or Computer Vision.
- 3 years of experience deploying machine learning algorithms for production applications
- Proficient in Python: track record of machine learning model building, training, testing, and performance evaluation
- Experience with image processing techniques and algorithms.
- Experience with computer vision libraries and frameworks like OpenCV, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or similar. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and deep learning architectures, particularly CNNs
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for model deployment and scaling
- Experience working with RESTful APIs & websockets
- Good knowledge of Linux platform, its configuration, and command line operations
- Track record collaborating on software projects (git)
Helpful additional skills:
- Experience working with video processing, compression and bandwidth optimization
- Experience collecting robot data for training deep neural networks
- Exposure to Docker, Jenkins, and other tools for deployment
- Experience with ROS/ROS2
- Familiarity with communication protocols (Ethernet, TCP/UDP, HTTP, MQTT, RTSP, etc),
- Track record of open source contributions and/or personal software/hardware projects
- Experience with database technologies
- Experience with LLMs for vision applications is a plus
