- Operate various meat processing machinery including grinders, slicers, mixers, and saws to cut, grind, slice, and mix different types of meat according to production plans and customer specifications.
- Weigh and measure meat cuts to ensure accurate portion control and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area following established cleaning procedures.
- Regularly sharpen knives and blades to ensure optimal cutting performance.
- Perform basic maintenance on processing equipment as needed.
- Monitor product quality and report any inconsistencies or potential defects.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of production output.
- May assist with other processing tasks as instructed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a meat processing or similar production environment a plus.
- Strong understanding of meat cuts and processing techniques.
- Experience operating various meat processing machinery (e.g., grinders, slicers, mixers).
- Excellent knife skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25kg.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high product quality and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to tolerate cold and potentially wet working conditions.
