Job responsibilities
- Management of design and construction of waste management plant projects: planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers for implementation of new processes, and do site-monitoring regularly
- Hands on work may be required when setting up plant to understand processes clearly to teach operations department
- Interface with different regulatory agencies, prepare needed documentation, schedule required testing, and provide any necessary, additional follow-up documentation
- Work with consultants to develop front end engineering design matching with field condition (battery limit condition, PFD, P&ID, utility consumption, pipe lay out, process datasheet for equipment & instrument, Line list and tie-in list out etc. )
- Make recommendations to maintain and improve environmental performance, and implement if confirmed
- Review environmental regulations, and determine whether they're being applied properly
- Create and maintain air/water quality management systems that comply with permits and regulations
- Report environmental incidents to management, including mishaps such as internal spills and suggest solutions for prevention in future
- Report potential permit non-compliances, and upcoming regulatory inspections
- Lead or support the preparation and negotiation of various environmental permit applications
- Assist with any additional duties as required
- Title, salary and package will commensurate with relevance of experience
Basic qualification
- Diploma/Degree in relevant discipline (preferably environmental engineering or chemical engineering)
- Good problem-solving skill and analytical thinking, take initiative in problem solving
- Good hands-on experience, ability and interest to setup process equipment and flow
- Preferably 3 years of waste treatment processes experience or similar field
