Job Summary:
The Senior Project Director will play a key role in supporting the General Manager - Operations in managing tender processes and overseeing project operations, particularly with government authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management:
- Lead and oversee the tendering process for infrastructure projects, including preparation of bids, negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Lead the tender evaluation process, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with tender requirements and timelines.
Project Operations:
- Provide strategic direction and oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring progression of project teams, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with government authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout project lifecycles.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a key liaison with government authorities such as LTA and CAG, maintaining positive relationships and addressing any regulatory or compliance matters.
- Provide high-level progress reporting to clients, top management, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication channels within project teams and with external partners.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive project success.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and coach project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance in project planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
