The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with one of the leading suppliers of metal packaging in Asia and we are looking to hire an Assistant Purchasing & Logistics Manager to join their business! Reporting to the Executive Director, this role requires the successful candidate lead a team of 5 to build a strategic sourcing function for the business by managing the sourcing, procurement (internal, direct and indirect) and logistics activities.

The Job:
- Build effective relationships engaging with stakeholders across functions and country business units to maximize value and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to deliver total cost of ownership savings in your areas and drive the implementation of the plans to capture those opportunities.
- Proactively manage supplier relationships to deliver Cost & Cash results regarding quality and service levels.
- Manage investment selection process, lead and support negotiations and contracts with key suppliers, and administer contracts.
- Manage and improve key supplier performance and manage quality audits.
- Manage contracts and ensure contract compliance considering payment terms, prices, discounts & rebates and performance in close collaboration with business.
- Drive innovation programs to continually search for cost-saving opportunities, new products, and new suppliers that contribute to the overall strategy of the business.
- Review supply requirements and manage stock level.
- Monitor changing trends in price and availability of raw materials, understand the complexity of the market (fundamental and technical) and ensure proper reporting on financial performance and risks to internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for defining, developing, and managing the execution of the purchasing-to-pay process, supplier management tools, etc.
- Responsible for analyzing and improving the internal purchasing processes of the company and developing key performance objectives, defining future state requirements, best practice development, and purchasing process documentation.
- Liaise with Finance/Management to manage the financial process related to investment and purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Responsible for:
- Internal Purchases:
- MRO Purchases (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) such as office supplies, cleaning supplies, and maintenance tools.
- Indirect Procurement such as software, office furniture, and services like consulting.
- Raw Material Purchases:
- Direct Procurement - Raw Material Purchase directly tied to the production.
The Talent:
- Minimally 4 years of experience in procurement and logistics function, with a background in the manufacturing industry. Prior experience in metal packaging is highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills to lead team in daily operations
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with various levels of stakeholders.
