Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Services Team Lead to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Technology Services, the IT Services Team Lead will play a crucial role in managing and leading a team of IT professionals responsible for providing technical support and services to the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT Services team, ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues and requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems, to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Develop and maintain IT service catalogs, ensuring that services are well-documented and meet the needs of the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, making recommendations for the adoption of new tools and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the IT Services team.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and support.
Qualifications:
- Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience in IT support or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in supporting IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and on-premise, SaaS and Cloud/AWS systems.
- Proficient in IT service management frameworks and best practices (e.g., PRINCE2 with Agile, ITIL).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the heritage or cultural sector is a plus.
