Job Purpose:
The IT Specialist at Bit-Serv plays an important role for providing internal support to GME Chemicals and Biesterfeld Asia colleagues across seven regions in Asia while being an integral part of the Bit-serv team. Ensuring outstanding support for our internal stakeholders is key as we continue to expand our business.
Key Responsibilities:
• At Bit-Serv, the Service Desk is the central task in the team and requires a high degree of professionalism, communication skills, and a strong service mentality.
• You support the hotline from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, record requests in our ticket system, and ideally resolve them independently or as part of the team.
• You take on tasks in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support and assist in operating the Citrix/IGEL environment, Apple devices, and a Cisco Webex Collaboration platform.
• You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving basic network issues, such as connectivity problems and network configurations.
• In your role you provide on-site support, setting up workstations and offering direct user support.
Qualifications:
• You minimum have a Diploma in an IT relevant field or have initial work experience in IT.
• Career changers with equivalent, relevant work experience (at least three years of 1st and 2nd level support) are also welcome.
• You are well-versed with the following Microsoft products:
- Windows 10/11
- Windows Server 2016-2019
- Active Directory
- Azure Active Directory knowledge is a plus
- Microsoft Exchange knowledge is a plus
- Office
- Microsoft 365
- Entra knowledge is a plus
• You have experience using ticket systems and creating documentation.
• Knowledge of Citrix, ITIL, and SAP is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Managing network equipment, like Cisco and Cisco Meraki will be a plus.
• You have good English (spoken & written) and Chinese (spoken) skills, as these are the primary languages used by our colleagues who need support.
• You enjoy working in a team and are eager to respond to requests in an international environment in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
