Technical Responsibilities:
- Curate creative ideas and translate them through innovative solutions that are technology-based
- Document development process and review drawings. Produce complete sets of design documentation including: part and assembly drawings, bills of materials, electronics and wiring schematics, maintenance manual pages and assembly instructions
- Research ideas and materials presented for exhibit and makes decisions regarding proper visual interpretation and recommends solutions to design problems
- Preparation of baseline budgets, schedules and project success metrics
- Assist in production, installation of exhibits, resolving problems of design and installation when required. Participate in off-site installations, maintenance trips and de-installations
- Investigate, analyse and experiment with emerging platforms and frameworks to deliver processes and solutions to problems relating to product/service development
- Conduct feasibility analysis for design plans, develop technical solutions and develop explanations regarding the limits of technical solutions
- Initiate and review relevant reporting routines and identify quality-related problems
- Review vendor performance and recommend the renewal of their status or otherwise provide feedback of any unsatisfactory vendor performance for follow-up action by Management
- Regular site visits to ensure that installation are executed according to schedule, with proper risk management, safety management, quality assurance, and control on-site
- Keep abreast with advancements in application design and new technologies
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience in product design or engineering
- Degree in product design, mechanical engineering or electronics
- Technical background with knowledge of structural, AV and M&E
- Demonstrate leadership capabilities and able to oversee daily execution of a project
- Project and cost management
Skills:
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office application
- Knowledge in C/C++ and other relevant programming language
- Experience with open-source software like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP and Micro-Controller
- Experience with Embedded systems
- Experience with Rhino3D, AutoCAD, Autodesk 3ds Max, SketchUp is preferred
- Experience with schematic design, simple circuit operation and electronic components
- Conflict- management and problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous, good planning and coordination
- Ability to perform under tight schedules and deadlines with minimum supervision
