LA Design Studio is seeking for a Sales Manager to join our team and drive our sales efforts in the interior design industry. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all sales related issues and will be incharge of the overall sales team that consist of junior and senior interior designers. He/She should have a passion for interior design and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers while developing and implementing sales strategies to boost sales and increase overall revenue for the company.
1. Focus on consultative selling whereby he/she will be able to focus on understanding the client's needs and offering tailored solutions which involves active listening, asking the right questions and building trust. Trainee will also be able to effectively negotiate with clients to close deals while maintaining profitability.
2. Develop skills in leading and motivating the sales team by setting goals and driving performance with coaching of sales staff to help them improve their performance and career development while using key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve their individual sales performance.
3. Understand the basic design principles such as colour theory, space planning and design styles which are in trends while staying updated on the latest trends and innovations in the interior design industry which are available.
4. Effective communicate and foster good relationships with clients while ensuring client satisfaction level and managing post-renovation interactions and follow ups. Trainee will also be able to manage and attend to any customer complaints to resolve the issues.
5. Do market analysis to understand the market landscape to identify opportunties and analyse competitors to help the company remain on the competitive edge.
6. Have the basic skills of interior design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp which can the trainee can use to draft out basic 2D and 3D modelling which will be helpful during the sales pitch towards customers when the in-house designers are overloaded with 3D rendering projects for the sales team.
7. Arrange workshop with suppliers to keep the sales team updated on the prices and application method of the latest trends, products and services available. Trainee will also be able to plan interactive sessions to focus on sales techniques for the sales team like having practice scenarios for them to develop better sales and negotiation skills.
