The ESG Manager is responsible for driving the implementation of the Company’s ESG strategy, reporting to General Counsel.
Job Responsibilities
Development and Implementation of ESG Strategy
- Development of the Company’s existing ESG strategy to maintain a leadership position.
- Identifying and proposing commitments and targets in related areas.
- Ensuring that the Company meets all reporting standards and requirements.
- Seeking input from stakeholders and proposing how to address significant issues or concerns they raise.
- Recommending potential carbon offset projects and the amount of credits required.
- Applying ESG principles in vendor selection and ensuring staff are briefed on ESG criteria for selection of suppliers and other business partners.
- Defining and implementing initiatives to create greater awareness and action.
- Maintaining a database of HKEx, SGX, and other applicable regulatory ESG disclosure requirements and ensuring compliance with these requirements.
- Working with external experts to conduct gap analysis and external verification.
ESG Reporting
- Drafting the Annual ESG Report including inputs.
- Presenting the draft report to the ESG Committee.
- Working with the Chair of the ESG Committee to propose ESG KPIs.
- Maintenance of the Company’s ESG webpage based on content from the ESG report.
- Supporting Chair of the ESG Committee in quarterly reporting on ESG matters.
- Monitoring the publication of ratings reports produced by ESG Analyst firms.
- Monthly reporting of ESG activities for the Directors’ Report.
- Assist with directing internal and/or external enquires to the appropriate HODs in a timely manner.
Survey Management
- Working with the Head of IRCC in conducting the annual stakeholder survey.
- Analysis of the results of stakeholder survey and presenting any accompanying recommendations.
- Drafting a summary report to be presented to the Board Risk Committee.
CSR Events
- Developing an annual plan for the Company’s CSR activities and presenting this to the ESG Committee.
- Selecting and managing ESG Ambassadors for events outside of Singapore and ensuring activities are arranged in compliance with the annual plan.
- Proposing sponsorships annually with a focus on the expected benefits to the community and to the organization.
ESG Committee
- Acting as secretary of the ESG Committee.
- Reviewing and proposing changes to the ESG Committee charter.
Others
- Ad hoc projects or tasks as assigned by the GC and/or COO.
Job Requirements
- Degree, preferably in Business or related fields.
- Proficient in business report writing and producing spreadsheets.
- Financial awareness, meticulous and process oriented.
- Resourceful and able to conduct business research.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
