Oil Flow Trading
Position purpose
Support the Head of Oil Flow Trading in all activities on the desk and to grow the third-party oil flow business.
Main Responsibilities
· Monitor and analyse relevant markets. Use analysis to identify new trading opportunities, execute and manage all associated risk including FX, while extracting value and delivering profitability
· Monitor regulatory and economic developments and be able to develop an understanding of their impact on the market as well as EDFTs own position
· Build and maintain relationships with market players in the region. Be an ambassador for EDFT with external counterparties.
· Co-operate and work with other desks, in order to ensure information and trading synergies
· Actively participate in trading meetings, sharing knowledge and trading strategies with other team members
· Ensure awareness of conformity with EDFT compliance, procedures, business transaction and risk policies
· Experience required
· Substantial experience in Oil flow trading environment
· The ability to effectively value, manage and support large, complex originated positions
· The ability to structurally support flow and complex sales and origination activity from a trading perspective
· The ability to demonstrate a solid approach to risk management and risk control
· Proven Track record in terms of P&L Generation
