Associate Consultant - Active Directory

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support complex Active Directory environments across multiple domains and forests.
  • Develop and implement AD policies and procedures to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of authentication services.
  • Lead Active Directory migrations, upgrades, and consolidation projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Active Directory issues, including authentication problems, replication failures, and group policy conflicts.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Active Directory with other enterprise systems, including Exchange, Azure AD, and third-party applications.
  • Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to streamline AD administration tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Provide advanced support for LDAP, Kerberos and other authentication protocols.
  • Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments for Active Directory services.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Active Directory and identity management.
  • Monitor Active Directory infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST guidelines) for Active Directory.
  • Document standards, procedures, and configurations related to Active Directory environments.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for improving Active Directory services.
  • Strong knowledge on Desired state configuration (DSC) Implementation.

Skills Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information technology/ engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level Active Directory environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) and Azure Active Directory (AAD) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles and practices.
  • Solid grasp of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and task delegation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
