Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support complex Active Directory environments across multiple domains and forests.
- Develop and implement AD policies and procedures to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of authentication services.
- Lead Active Directory migrations, upgrades, and consolidation projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Active Directory issues, including authentication problems, replication failures, and group policy conflicts.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Active Directory with other enterprise systems, including Exchange, Azure AD, and third-party applications.
- Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to streamline AD administration tasks and improve efficiency.
- Provide advanced support for LDAP, Kerberos and other authentication protocols.
- Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments for Active Directory services.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Active Directory and identity management.
- Monitor Active Directory infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST guidelines) for Active Directory.
- Document standards, procedures, and configurations related to Active Directory environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for improving Active Directory services.
- Strong knowledge on Desired state configuration (DSC) Implementation.
Skills Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information technology/ engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level Active Directory environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
- Experience with Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) and Azure Active Directory (AAD) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles and practices.
- Solid grasp of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and task delegation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
