IT Project Manager (12 months contract)

A new and exciting Project Manager 12 months contract for a large financial services company.

1. Project Management:
   • Lead and manage IT infrastructure and data center projects from initiation to completion.
   • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
   • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Infrastructure and Data Center Management:
   • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data center facilities.
   • Ensure infrastructure stability, scalability, and security to support business operations.
   • Coordinate with IT teams to optimize infrastructure performance and reliability.
3. System Integration:
   • Manage system integration projects, ensuring seamless connectivity between various IT systems and applications.
   • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement integration solutions.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
4. Stakeholder Communication:
   • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
   • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, management, and other departments.
   • Prepare and present project reports and documentation to senior management.
5. Risk Management:
   • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
   • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, specifically in infrastructure and data center environments.
• Strong understanding of data center operations
• Experience with system integration projects, including middleware, APIs, and data migration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of banking industry regulations and standards is a plus.
