about the job
You will assist in the monthly financial close process and quarterly reporting, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will support the annual external and internal audit processes, including publishing financial statements and timely, accurate XBRL and corporate tax filings. Key responsibilities include analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, and developing templates for managing the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecast. You will also partner with business units in strategic planning and analysis discussions, providing insights on the financial impact of business decisions in accordance with IFRS, and collaborate with the corporate development team to evaluate the accounting impact of new acquisitions or corporate activities. Additionally, you will prepare monthly management reporting slides and reports and perform any other assigned duties.
skills and experience required
You should ideally have a degree or equivalent in Finance and/or Accounting with at least 5 years of handson experience in full sets of accounts. You will prepare the full sets, this is not a reviewer role. You should also be polished in writing as you have to prepare write-ups for investment related matters. You are able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in Big 4 will come as an advantage. They are on a hybrid work arrangement at their office in the CBD.
