Responsibilities:
- Perform chemical analyses of precious metal materials, using techniques such as atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectroscopy, and fire assay.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine the composition, purity, and concentration of precious metals in samples.
- Conduct quality control tests on incoming raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Perform routine inspections and tests to monitor the quality and consistency of precious metal products, identifying any deviations or non-conformities.
- Assist in research and development (R&D) projects related to precious metal refining, recovery, and processing.
- Investigate new analytical techniques, methods, and technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of chemical analyses.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests, experiments, and results.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations summarizing findings and conclusions from chemical analyses and research activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the laboratory, including handling hazardous chemicals and materials safely.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to laboratory operations and chemical handling.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Chemistry
- At least of 2 years of relevant experience in Laboratory
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Possess good analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with a proactive and problem solving mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment
- Required to carry heavy loads
- Experience with XRF analysis of precious metal
