For general responsibilities, the job holder shall:
- Reports to Section Manager of Structural basis organization and report to the Piping Stress Lead / Piping Support Lead / Piping Design Lead when assigned to a project role.
- Ensure that all assigned work completed on time, project schedules and of the intended quality.
- Interface with other organisational units for project related as required.

For project related responsibilities, the job holder shall:
- Responsible for performing the integrity calculations for pipe supports.
- Review and provide technical inputs on Pipe support design related matters.
- Manage the technical interfaces with Structural disciplines for pipe support loads and or optimum structural design to ensure overall structural integrity.
- Guiding the other engineers in the pipe support team in the structural design of pipe supports and also in its arrangement.
- Represent in meetings, discussions, audits, verifications, workshops, and technical reviews that relates to Pipe Supports on projects and be responsible for closeout of actions identified as required.
- Review /Update 3D-modeling using E3D/PDMS/MDS for Pipe supports.
- Prepare/ Review MTO for the Piping support materials.
- Perform Design Review on regular basis by using E3D/ PDMS / Navisworks/ MDS for establishing the Pipe support design in accordance with the project requirements.
- Identify and provide any input to change Management as applicable.
- In case of any technical challenges, troubleshoot to resolve the issues on time and if required escalate to piping lead for quick resolution. Plan tasks and issue the deliverables as per company procedures.
- Provide technical support to the project to obtain necessary approvals from the verification body / classification society or other applicable approving authorities.
- Coordinate actively with other offices, for the projects being executed from multiple locations, attend meetings, and communicate effectively. Be flexible and ready to assume additional roles in the project.
- May be assigned as Lead Integrity Engineer for projects.
Work Experience
- Applicant must have minimum 12 years of experiencehaving worked in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (Offshore & FPSO projects) serving in the capacity of a structural / support Engineer.
- Perform Structural Analysis and Design Calculations (using analysis tools like Staad Pro / SACS and spreadsheets) to size the pipe support members.
- Perform calculations for standard pipe supports and to work in the standardization of pipe supports.
- Review and checking of pipe support calculations.
- Prepare calculation reports for pipe support design and provide technical support to get the approval from the approving authority and updating the calculation reports for the comments received.
- Extract the input (like arrangement of supports, load data, etc.) from the 3D model in E3D, to design pipe support structural calculations.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in in Structural Engineering or other equivalent engineering specialisation.
Other Skills
- Applicant must have excellent technical communication (oral and written) skills with proven ability to present technical issues to design teams, client technical authorities, and client’s project management representatives and approving bodies.
- Applicant must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
- Applicant shall possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
- Applicants must be familiar with using Navisworks.
