About You
As a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual, you are passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights and strategies. Your background in (and love of) statistics and computer science equips you with the technical proficiency to handle large datasets and perform complex analyses. You are adept at using the standard tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, and Excel to extract, manipulate, and visualize data, ensuring accurate and meaningful results. Your problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills enable you to translate data findings into strategic recommendations for stakeholders. Additionally, you thrive in collaborative environments and continuously seek to expand your knowledge in data analytics, making you a valuable asset to any team.
About the Role
As the Data Analyst for the Region, based in Singapore HQ, and reporting into the Marketing Director, you will play an important support role to the business, turning our sales and logistics data into planning insights, tools and reporting gold. This will involve collaborating with various stakeholders across the Region, including department or market leaders, function teams (marketing, operations, finance).
The ideal candidate for this data analyst role should possess a strong understanding of statistical analysis techniques, the ability to communicate complex information effectively in report form, and familiarity with common software tools used for big data analysis. Additionally, they must have strong computer literacy, including proficiency in using spreadsheets and dashboards, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite, Power BI, Excel and GreatVines (Sales Force).
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
GENERAL
•Drive data analysis programming across the business - using data analysis tools to interpret and report on data
•Testing out new BI tools or analytics techniques to find better ways of analysing data
•Proactively suggesting improvement in the company’s processes or approaches based on their findings
•Maintenance and updating of data platforms
•Innovation with platforms and plug-ins to provide smarter solutions
•Collaboration with business functions to understand and build reporting / dashboard requirements
APAC and By Market Data
•Performance tracking – market, category, brand, channel, customer…
oMarketing dashboards (APAC for CMO, Local for Brand Teams)
oGM dashboards
oOperations dashboards
•Brand / product review to understand value within portfolio – revenue, performance vs cost to business, pricing, margin, footprint (growth), average order value (growth?), % of total sales, A&P support …
•Industry / market / category research
Brand Partner Data
•Building & progressing real-time dashboards – monthly, quarterly, YoY tracking of data - visualisation of data (pie charts, graphs..)
•Building & progressing automated reports for brand partners – depletions, SoH, order forecasts – monthly, quarterly
The Ideal Candidate:
▪University degree or above in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics or equivalent discipline
▪1-3 years of relevant experience
▪Possess positive energy, a “can-do” attitude, and thrive in a growing atmosphere
▪Have high attention to detail
▪Ability to multi-task, organized, deadline focused and communicates with colleagues
▪Excellent presentation, communication (written and oral), and problem-solving skills
▪Ability to take initiative and think outside the box to be successful
▪Passion for the hospitality sector ideal but not essential
