Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Solutions Architect with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a strong background in modernization projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions that address complex business challenges. This role requires deep technical knowledge of GCP, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect GCP-based solutions to meet business requirements, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Lead modernization projects, migrating legacy systems to the GCP platform.
- Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, design documents, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
- Stay updated with the latest GCP features and advancements, and assess their potential impact on current and future projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GCP infrastructure and services.
- Mentor and coach junior architects and other technical team members.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on GCP solutions and modernization strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in solutions architecture, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven experience in modernization projects, including migrating legacy systems to the cloud.
- Strong understanding of GCP services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Proficiency in designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- GCP Solutions Architect certification (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect) is highly desirable.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
