ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineering Manager will work closely with the Head of Construction and Deployment and Co-CEO, responsible for Construction and Deployment to deliver the very best technical advice to the Employer and its deployment partners and delivery partners. The Engineering Manager will provide leadership and mentoring support to members of the engineering team, pass on his expertise in design and project planning and execution, and assist the development of a culture of outstanding delivery and technical excellence. He will also be expected to find opportunities to optimise immersion systems, improve product offerings and provide value engineering solutions wherever possible
- Liaise with stakeholders and third parties to generate design parameters for deployment locations
- Design of systems and equipment around various geographical location to deliver outcomes associated with energy efficiency and safety in design
- Control the engineering process for deployment and implementation of systems
- Liaise with design teams to ensure specifications and technical data records are kept up to date with changes
- Support Head of Construction and Deployment and Co-CEO with business ideas that can inform future design
- Build strong collaborative and influential relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- Design coordination and client facing / leading meetings
- Lead research and development opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability
- Manage all aspects of engineering and design with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Lead and mentor the Design Team, managing aspects of Project Management, Engineering Design and Commissioning of deployed infrastructure
- Engage and manage engineering service providers to ensure project objectives are met
- Strong safety focus to be implemented from early design phases to execution and close-out
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of working experience in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Intricate understanding of immersion system design and integration into existing systems.
- Strong attention to safety in design from execution to close-out.
- Versatile skill set with ability to adapt to changing situations and challenges.
- Team player who can collaborate with multidisciplinary groups.
- Trustworthy and reliable colleague capable of delivering technical projects.
