Purpose of role:
You will play a role in the reintegration process of offenders and ex-offenders by
providing administrative support. You will work with partners (employers and other
agencies) to assist ex-offenders in securing employment.
Salary: Up to $2295 for Diploma
Up to $3750 for Degree
Report To: Senior Career Specialist
Work location: Upper Changi Road North
Working hours: 8.15 am to 5.45 pm (Mon to Thur),
8.15 am to 5.15 pm (Fri)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Acts as the main contact person between employer, clients, and other stakeholders for assigned clients during job matching process.
• Liaises with employers to confirm the employment terms for assigned clients.
• Coordinates with prison officers for the successful administration of inmates on Community Based Programmes.
• Facilitates all employment-related communication and documentation including:
1. Creating a standard mail merge with the information provided by relevant stakeholders.
2. Calling clients and employers to confirm on employment details and resolve any discrepancy.
3. Preparing Referral Letters to relevant stakeholders for successful job placement of clients.
4. Responding to emails from employers and stakeholders.
5. Updating of job placement records and other databases.
6. Arranging interviews for clients who are unemployed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree Experience
• Relevant experience in office clerical and administrative support work and coordination.
• Experience in providing career advisory will be an advantage. Skills
• Process drive, initiative and openness to embrace and lead change and deliver results
• Able to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
• Team player with good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Good negotiation skills and able to multi-task.
• Working knowledge MS Office.
• Passion in serving the rehabilitation and aftercare sector.
