Introduction to the Role:
The role offers a chance to work within one of the world’s largest financial institutions, within people and cutting-edge technology at is core. You will be part of a greenfield project within the company, working on server infrastructure design, collaborating closely with stakeholders on a global scale.
The Position:
- Gather system requirements for various Banking and Markets projects.
- Participate in the system design discussion – regional and global including the architecture review board approval process.
- Analyze system capacity based on historical trends and growth projections.
- Write and maintain solution design documents including high level system design diagram.
- Understand bank standards including server configuration, network topology,middleware components, and security policies.
- Have up-to-date knowledge on latest technologies.
- Document and maintain implementation procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in infrastructure hosting design.
- Strong experience in Linux operating systems.
- Strong experience in server performance analysis and server level architecture & hardware knowledge (e.g., HP, IBM).
- Experience in virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Docker).
- Strong network architecture knowledge and configuration (e.g., LAN, WAN, DMZ, F5 Load Balancer, Firewalls)
- Storage knowledge in SAN/NAS with application (e.g. Netapp).
- Experience in Oracle DB.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good-to-have Skills:
- Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Python).
- Experience with automation software (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Familiar with middleware applications (e.g., Tomcat, Database, Tibco, MQ).
- Trade function and application knowledge (e.g., Order and Execution, Market data, Settlement, Messaging).
- Software application flow & understanding.
