Responsibilities:
· Execute welding tasks independently, demonstrating proficiency and initiative while adhering strictly to engine manuals and welding parameters.
· Plan and execute welding operations on various alloys such as titanium, aluminum, nickel-based alloys, and stainless steel, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.
· Verify part and serial numbers against work orders to maintain accuracy and traceability throughout the welding process.
· Design and construct fixtures as necessary to facilitate precise and stable welding setups.
· Prepare welding surfaces meticulously by cleaning, polishing, or wire brushing to ensure proper adhesion and quality of welds.
· Configure welding equipment to accommodate variations in parts and achieve optimal weld quality, securely positioning parts in jigs or fixtures.
· Inspect welds thoroughly to verify compliance with size, shape, and other specified requirements, adjusting as needed through blending, grinding, or polishing.
· Maintain clean and organized workspaces, uphold safety protocols, and promptly report any operational issues or anomalies to supervisors for resolution
Requirements:
· Min Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
· At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
· Willingness to work in rotating shifts.
· Able to work independently as well as with the team.
