Job Description
NUS College is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to join the NUSC Outreach team. This role straddles both the Alumni Relations and Development portfolios, focusing on developing and executing an effective strategy to engage and cultivate relationships with our alumni and donor base. We envision a holistic approach to engagement that extends from students' initial admissions to their graduation day, fostering lifelong connections and meaningful experiences within our community.
Duties & Responsibilities
Alumni Engagement:
• Design and execute programmes based on alumni survey findings, alignment with NUSC’s engagement goals and best practices to engage alumni
• Oversee the tracking and analysis of key aspects of alumni engagement
• Lead NUSC’s participation in milestone alumni events, including Homecoming, Kent Ridge Alumni Family Day, and Day of Service
• Organise alumni activities tailored to the diverse segments and interests of NUSC alumni, including activities for graduating students
• Manage and expand the new mentorship programme to connect students with alumni
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alumni and donors are continuously engaged and informed about NUSC activities and developments
Development:
• Develop strategies to build a culture of giving among alumni
• Assist in planning and executing giving campaigns for the College
• Support donor stewardship by maintaining strong relationships with current and potential donors
• Manage all aspects of gift fund stewardship, including but not limited to ensuring proper use and acknowledgement of donations
• Identify opportunities for new funding sources and partnerships to support the College’s initiatives
• Track and report on fundraising progress and donor engagement metrics
Additional Responsibilities:
• Any other duties and tasks related to cultivating NUSC’s alumni and donors, and enhancing their overall experience with the College
• Work with other administrative teams in NUS College on cross-functional and shared duties
Qualifications
• Meticulous with names and details
• Event-planning skills
• Enjoys meeting and interacting with alumni and students (future alumni) as well as donors
• Comfortable using tech tools and various communication platforms for engagement of stakeholders
• Resourceful, service-oriented, and enthusiastic about taking on new challenges
• No prior alumni and fundraising experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and grow in these areas is essential.
