Key areas of responsibility
· Events:
o Oversee all wine-related events, from conception to execution
o Liaise with producers and suppliers to secure wine masterclasses, dinners etc
o In conjunction with the Events team, create and maintain our wine events calendar
o Alongside the sommelier team, provide all necessary service for wine producer events (ie masterclasses)
o Work with Events team to report and manage P&L for all wine producer events
o Collate feedback and continually improve our events proposition
o Learn and operate all relevant software platforms (eg Tripleseat, Ticket Tailor)
· Wine education:
o Oversee and develop our Member-facing wine education service, especially WSET courses
· Marketing:
o Support marketing team to communicate with Members about wine at the Club, especially in newsletters
o Learn and operate all relevant software platforms (eg MailChimp, Canva)
· Administration:
o Support Sommelier and Cellar teams with data analysis
o Learn and operate all relevant software systems in the Cellar and Somm teams
· Other locations:
o Develop and support wine activity in other others locations, including travel to these locations.
· Misc:
o Work with Head of Cellar, Head Sommelier and Head of Wine to continually develop wine strategy
o Recruit, train and develop the Wine Development team
o Be an ambassador for the Club’s expertise in the wider world of wine
Requirements
· Previous experience in F&B and wine including:
o High level of wine knowledge (WSET Diploma level or equivalent)
o Good understanding of restaurant service and operations, especially sommellerie
o Experience with POS and inventory management systems
· Connections to wine producers globally
· Experience with wine procurement and inventory management
· Ability to be dynamic and flexible, and to work under pressure
· Willingness to travel internationally as needed
· Good working knowledge of office software
· Ambition to develop a career in wine
