Job Description:
- Work closely with customers and suppliers on new product development,
- Ensure all new product requirements are clearly defined by the customers and understood by the suppliers,
- Offer engineering solutions to factory to prevent defects during production,
- Develop product drawings (2D & 3D) if it is not supplied by customers,
- Ensure timely submission of off-tool-samples by suppliers,
- Perform thorough checking on samples before submitting to customers,
- Follow up on customer’s approval and resolve all defeats reported by customers, if any,
- Together with QC Engineer, performs regular QC inspection on samples submitted by the factory. Also, performs on-site QC checks at the factory, if required,
- Work with customers and factories on all engineering changes required,
- Assist in ensuring correct understanding of product requirements by the factory during the quotation process,
- Provide technical support when company takes part in trade shows,
- Maintain and improve company engineering / QC facilities,
- Work closely with the factory to resolve all customer complaints,
- Develop preventive measures with the factory to prevent recurrence of defects,
- Ensure all ISO 9001 documentation requirements are fulfilled,
- Have initiative to work on improvement projects,
- Any other duties as assigned by the Management.
