As an Infrastructure Engineer Lead at JPMorgan Chase within the CTO Office, Global Technology Applied Research Quantum Communications Team , you develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology.
Job responsibilities
• Drives a GTAR workstream or project consisting of multiple infrastructure engineering technologies including design, implementing and supporting, in the field of quantum communications and cryptography
• Applies strong technical acumen and problem solving to projects of moderate to large scope ensuring requirements were successfully met, proposing and implementing technologically sound accelerators
• Executes creative solutions for the design, development and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
• Works with other stakeholders and external engagements to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
• Scope project roadmap with a strategic mindset incorporating novel technology solutions with consideration for non-technical implications
• Oversees all risk, control and compliance in alignment with internal stakeholders and procedure
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Info-communications Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience required in technical role in Networking, Telecommunications, Info-communications or Technology Innovation
• Deep knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
• Proven ability to install systems from scratch; and compute systems from bare-metal, comfortable working with systems not limited to but including CLI
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment and taking initiative/ownership under minimal supervision
• Highly resourceful, being able to source for novel solutions and implement them
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Attention to detail, strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems without guidance is a strong advantage
• Worked on systems prototyping or in related research and development environment would be advantageous
• Excellent organizational, time management, written and visual presentation skills
