You are a thought leader in Salesforce, with experience in organizations that operate like startups as well as traditional enterprises. Your consulting efforts will cross the spectrum from driving the creation of technology strategy to advising during execution. You will be working beside clients' executives as well as software engineers to build digital platforms and solve our clients' most interesting technology challenges.
Job responsibilities
- Create and guide the vision for evolutionary architecture and adoption roadmaps for our clients, setup architecture governance and build evolutionary architecture
- Facilitate across different stakeholder groups to ensure alignment to architectural vision
- Articulate trade-offs and drive high-impact technology decisions on topics including (but not limited to) low code platform providers, custom build software, open source software.
- Understand the business risks and challenges that organizations face, and the need to align technical strategies with roadmaps that create business capability and opportunity.
- Understand that leadership is not something you do from far away; you get the importance of taking people with you along the journey. Strong stakeholder management and interaction at different levels is essential.
Job Qualifications
Technical skills
You have Subject Matter Expertise in most of the following areas:
- Business capability and domain modeling, including an understanding of domain driven design, including modeling of events
- Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices such as events, synchronous vs. asynchronous messaging, peer-to-peer, Publish-subscribe, distributed logs and RESTful APIs
- Build scalable and reliable systems, addressing operational concerns such as resiliency, performance, security, observability, discovery and routing, etc.
You are a system architect and a practitioner on Salesforce and CRM ecosystems:
- Salesforce Architect & MuleSoft certifications. 8 to 10 years of practical experience in presales and execution of medium and large-scale Salesforce implementation and support projects. Preferably in the public sector.
- Excellent understanding of Salesforce Sharing Security: Profiles, Permission Sets, Roles, Record Visibility etc. Define business processes using CRM and SFDC best practices. Provide solution blueprinting, mapping Salesforce features to business requirements
- Enterprise security design to integrate Salesforce with Identity Providers and lead the Authentication / Authorization flow design
- Design and build user-centric solutions with Salesforce to drive new consumer experiences and unlock business capabilities. Develop data integration, data migration and continuous delivery strategies. Proficient in applying Continuous Delivery practices for Salesforce solutions, coach and establish standards to development team
- Prepare demonstration, orchestrate proof of concept and benefit realization. Delivers best practice advice and recommendations to clients often extending beyond Salesforce to topics around overall systems architecture and CRM strategy
- Assess, advocate for and approve external technologies, such as Salesforce AppExchange packages, for their suitability. Deep understanding of various technical options ranging from low-code to pro-code, that are available for frontend architecture, data integration and event driven architecture. Should have the capability to recommend the most suitable option when designing a solution on Salesforce for a specific problem. Additionally, should be able to clearly explain the rationale and trade-offs associated with making tech choices
- Able to quantify cost for salesforce solutions and provide cost suggestions, including licensing costs. Help executives balance scorecards and KPIs with Salesforce in mind. Assess business capabilities and domains of customers and strategise what will be a better fit within salesforce or not.
Professional skills
There's no typical day or engagement for Salesforce Architect in this area of focus. Here's what you'll do:
- Collaborate with peers across multiple technology disciplines such as delivery infrastructure, data, and security.
- Lead workshops and group activities with delivery teams and executives
- Communicate team and organizational design approaches to decouple development efforts
- Help executives define measures and quantify the value of Salesforce
- Cultivate new technology leaders and developers on Salesforce
