COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected candidate will be engaged under a third-party agency payroll for the tenure of employment in SRC. (Contract basis with possible renewal)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Piping Engineer in the engineering management team, being responsible for the supervision and coordination of the piping design and Design team assigned to the project.
- Handle piping design layout and conformance of design to design specification.
- Review Project Requirement Specification for piping design and ensure review of thermal stress analysis and 2 phase vibration concerns with the engineering contractors, licensors or vendors.
- Coordinate with technical specialists for preparation of Project Standards.
- Ensure Project Requirement Specification meet local and international codes and standards and Project Standards.
- Coordinate work with other discipline such as process, instrument, mechanical (rotary and static), electrical etc.
- Evaluate BM/BQ of piping design for cost estimate
- Ensure the conformance of the 30% and 60% 3D model review to project definition as per ITB.
- Ensure conformance of equipment spacing and layout requirement following PS and ensure optimisation of space usage.
- Ensure the pipe specification is well established and liaise with SMEs review and seek ETS endorsement.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 year experience
- Project design experience especially for onshore petrochemical / refining facilities for major capital projects
- In-depth knowledge of design requirements for onshore petrochemical project and brownfield assessment. Familiarity with design requirements on modules will be advantage.
- Experience in pipe stress analysis evaluation and demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate design activities
- Good working knowledge on FEED and Detail Design requirements
- Competence in the use of Smartplant 3D software
