Team Lead - Accounts Payable

Responsibilities and Tasks of the Team Leader:

1. Vendor Payments and Bank Reconciliations:
   • Vendor Invoices:
     • Review and process 800 vendor invoices monthly, including approvals and credit notes.
     • Ensure vendor invoices are processed and paid within 30 days from the invoice date or vendor’s stipulated credit terms, aiming for 95% compliance .
   • Bank Reconciliations:
     • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for 9 bank accounts, ensuring all bank statement lines are reconciled.
     • Prepare and review manual bank reconciliations, especially for Citibank accounts.
     • Follow up with respective personnel to clear reconciling items by the second week of the following month .

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• At least 7 years of relevant working experience in a Finance role.
• Proven leadership and supervisory track record.
• Strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards, Finance policies, and procedures.
• Competence in managing multiple stakeholders, problem-solving, and organizational skills .

Performance Metrics:

• Ensure KPIs such as timely processing of staff claims, customer billings, and vendor payments are met.
• Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and compliance, especially in bank reconciliations and financial reporting .

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide monthly KPI performance reports by the second week of the following month.
• Attend periodic meetings with the Account Manager to discuss contract performance and service delivery .
