ABOUT HOME
The Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (www.home.org.sg) is a Singapore-based charity founded in 2004. HOME is dedicated to empowering and supporting migrant workers who experience abuse and exploitation. We provide immediate crisis intervention, casework support, as well as educational programmes to achieve our goal of enhancing the wellbeing of migrant workers. We are also actively engaged in community building and regularly organise outreach events with migrant workers.
HOME Academy
HOME Academy was established in 2010 to provide subsidised skills training to all migrant domestic workers. We offer a range of courses, from English to nursing aide to caregiving and dressmaking. We encourage former students of the Academy to qualify and return as inspiring tutors. In providing these opportunities for learning and skills development, we aim to foster economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, helping women towards a brighter, and more sustainable future.
HOME Family
HOME Family is HOME’s community outreach arm, where we regularly organise and support social events, cultural celebrations, training workshops, and other activities to build a platform for community building amongst migrant workers. Activities are varied but could include fashion shows, sports competitions, leadership workshops or excursions etc.
SUMMARY
HOME is looking for candidates with minimally two years of administrative experience. We seek a multitasker with strong organizational abilities and a positive demeanour. The ideal candidate will assist in administrative and events-related tasks for HOME Academy and HOME Family.
This role is equivalent to a three-day a week position and will involve working on Sundays and occasional public holidays. Hiring will be on a one-year contract basis with possibility of conversion to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the coordination and scheduling of training programs and related events.
· Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and courtesy.
· Help organize events, including graduation ceremonies, information sessions, and community outreach activities.
· Coordinate logistics such as venue booking, catering, and transportation.
· Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting.
· Handle invoicing and petty cash management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum diploma-level qualification in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the challenges faced by low-wage migrant workers.
- Fluency in either one of the following languages (Tagalog, Bahasa and/or Burmese) is a plus.
- Must be willing to work on Sundays and occasional public holidays.

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $2,000 a month (excluding employer’s CPF contribution).
