Responsibilities:
- Leads the design and development of electrification systems for marine offshore vessels, with a focus on battery management systems, fuel cell systems, and other future energy technologies.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, develop technical specifications, and create system architectures.
- Conducts system integration testing and validation to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
- Provides technical expertise and support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrification systems on marine offshore vessels.
- Ensure to stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrification systems for marine applications.
- Supports R&D projects aimed at advancing electrification technologies and achieving zero-emission operation for marine offshore vessels.
- Participates in technical meetings, design reviews, and project planning sessions to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in electrical engineering.
- Strong technical background in power distribution management, battery management, load sharing, blackout recovery, and variable frequency drive systems.
- Proficiency in system configuration design and optimization.
- Extensive experience in Electrification projects, preferably in the marine/offshore industry.
- Familiarity with hybrid micro-grid power systems, including batteries, fuel cells, and diesel gen-sets.
- Research experience in renewable energy and power system management is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge communication gaps between local and global teams.
