Job Brief:
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Opening Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and management of the pre-opening and opening phases of new F&B outlets. This role involves overseeing all operational aspects, including staff recruitment and training, menu development, supplier coordination, and ensuring that the outlet meets the highest standards of quality, service, and profitability.
Job Description:
Pre-Opening Planning:
- Develop and implement pre-opening project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of the venue.
- Oversee the procurement of equipment, furniture, and supplies necessary for the operation.
Menu Development:
- Ensure menus are cost-effective and align with the brand’s vision and target market.
- Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and customer preferences.
· Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
· Operational Readiness:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Conduct trial runs and soft openings to test and refine operations.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and licensing regulations.
· Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets for pre-opening and initial operations.
- Monitor and control costs to achieve financial targets.
- Analyse financial performance and implement strategies for improvement.
