RISK ENGINEERING
Risk Engineering, which is part of the Risk Division, is a central part of the Goldman Sachs risk management framework, with primary responsibility to provide robust metrics, data-driven insights, and effective technologies for risk management. Risk Engineering is staffed globally with offices including Dallas, New Jersey, New York, Salt Lake City, London, Warsaw, Bengaluru, Singapore, and Tokyo. As a member of Risk Engineering, you will interface with a variety of divisions around the firm as well as the other regional offices. The interaction with numerous departments and the diverse projects that ensue allow for a challenging, varied and multi-dimensional work environment.

Liquidity Risk Applications
Liquidity Risk Application role, which is part of the Risk Engineering group, is for a professional who is passionate about digital transformation, increasing operational efficiency through automation, reduce technical debt and develop highly scalable and reliable applications. Liquidity Risk has several reporting applications that generate data that are used for internal risk management and regulatory reporting. Data warehousing and data analytics skills will be useful as there is a significant focus on data and reporting.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the Singapore Liquidity Risk Application Team’s full pipeline of work, ensuring high-quality project delivery that is focused on customer satisfaction
- Manages the software development lifecycle (SDLC) of projects.
- Manage end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing, UAT and maintenance.
- Prioritizes project deliverables while coordinating with product managers and customers.
- Provides build estimates and designs timelines and project plans.
- Determines technical architecture design and performs reviews, and code reviews; defines testing strategy; and builds simulation environments using the Scrum Agile framework.
- Identifies opportunities for software solutions to enhance stability and maintainability of applications and processes.
- Defines coding and code quality standards. Curates, designs, and catalogues high-quality data models to ensure that data is accessible and reliable.
- Engineers data sourcing and liquidity risk created data including sourcing from lines of business, entity reviews, limit setting, user flows, user experience, and interactions.
- Engages with data consumers and producers to design and decides on appropriate models that will suit all needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 5+ years’ experience is working risk technology team in another bank, financial institution. Experience in liquidity risk technology is a plus.
- Experience with one or more major relational / object databases.
- Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team
- Comfortable with working with multiple programming languages
- An understanding of compute resources and the ability to interpret performance metrics (e.g., CPU, memory, threads, file handles).
- Knowledge of SDLC and experience in working through entire life cycle of the project from start to end
