Our Client is a leading digital bank firm, is seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Compliance individual to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments, assess their impact on the organization, and advise senior management on compliance matters related to the Banking Act and its applicable regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk Management, Operations, and Finance to integrate compliance into business processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, managing inquiries, inspections, and reporting requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to employees at all levels on compliance policies and procedures.
- Investigate compliance issues, breaches, or violations and recommend corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Business or Law, or relevant professonal qualification in financial services.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in regulatory compliance within a financial instituition, preferrably at banks
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Sound understanding of the regulatory landscape and relevant laws and regulations (Banking Act, Payments Services Act).
- Highly motivated, meticulous, proactive and versatile team player, possessing strong communication skills with proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese to communicate with our Mandarin speaking stakeholders
