Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To check materials for damage, etc before endorsing on receipt.
  2. To ensure materials are issued in accordance with specifications stated on isometric drawings.
  3. To monitor subcontractors’ handling and utilization of materials.
  4. To submit Material Request & Issue Slip (MRI) to client’s Field Discipline Engineer for signature.
  5. To submit to Client’s Material Controller for checking and preparation.
  6. To ensure materials indicated in material list for each isometric drawing are adequate for construction.
  7. To prepare material requirements forecast and advise PEC Management.
  8. To ensure all materials required by isometric drawings are keyed into the ELS.
  9. To keep proper documentation of all material requisitions.
  10. To submit report for materials requested, received and outstanding (if any) to Systems Department.
  11. To ensure materials requisitions are raised in a timely manner.
  12. To plan, monitor and document all sales of scrap metals.
  13. To obtain competitive quotes for materials to be purchased.
  14. To ensure that every purchase is made only when the Site Manager has approved the purchase order.
  15. To ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials are properly verified against the necessary document like delivery orders, etc.
  16. To document all signed delivery orders.
  17. To control and verify all materials taken out.
  18. To carry out frequent and regular check to ensure that material wastage is minimized and material pilferage is prevented at all times.
  19. To plan and monitor the movement of raw and fabrication materials.
  20. To carry out any other duties as and when required by the immediate superior or higher management.

Qualification & Experience Generally Required

  1. Minimum G.C.E ‘N’ or ‘O’ level or its equivalent
  2. One (1) to Three (3) years’ related experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified in the Petrochemical Plant, Oil Refinery, Pharmaceutical Industry or its equivalent
  3. Possess certificate in Storekeeping or Inventory Management
  4. Possess Forklift Operating License
  5. Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or service ordering and inventory control.
  6. Ability to organise and prepare routing administrative paperwork.
  7. Ability to receive, stock, deliver goods and reconcile stock counts to report data.
  8. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
