Maltem Singapore is currently seeking a Business Analyst for our Wealth Management Client.
Summary :
- The candidate will be supporting the Investment (Public Market) project for Data Strategy Group.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders and users to understand, probe, and document business requirements
- Craft detailed user journeys and use cases to illustrate how different types of users will interact with our systems and data.
- Translate business requirements and user journeys into functional specifications and detailed data requirements.
- Work closely with data engineers to design and implement data solutions that align with the defined user journeys and meet operational needs.
- Ensure user solutions to be developed by incorporating data management's best practices on top of user requirements.
- Conduct data analysis to ensure data quality and consistency, and to validate that the implemented solutions meet user needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, user journeys, and project plans.
- Assist with Data governance and Data management initiatives.
- Provide training and support to users of the Data systems, using the user journeys to help them to understand how to use the systems effectively.
- Monitor system performance and work with data engineers to manage any necessary system enhancements or fixes, and ensuring that changes align with the defined user journeys.
- Work closely with data engineers and relevant parties to ensure sprints are planned out properly and completed in timely manner.
Skill Requirements :
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field with at least 8 years of relevant IT work experience, including minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Management or Business Analyst role within Investment & Banking industry.
- Experience in crafting User Journeys and use cases, and using them to guide System Design and implementation.
- Proficient in SQL, Python and experience with other data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding on data modelling and data integration.
- Experience in SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and/or Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
