Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, policies, and protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in civil construction projects.
- Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Manage field engineering activities, including site inspections, quality audits, and material testing, to verify compliance with design and construction standards.
- Oversee non-destructive evaluation (NDE) processes, including ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and visual inspections, to assess structural integrity and identify defects or deficiencies.
- Lead and coordinate QA/QC inspection activities throughout the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to project completion, to ensure quality standards are met at every stage.
- Collaborate with project management teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets that incorporate QA/QC requirements and objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors on QA/QC-related matters, including interpretation of specifications and resolution of quality issues.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify quality concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage documentation and record-keeping processes related to QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance certificates.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, architects, clients, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment on QA/QC objectives, requirements, and expectations.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant QAQC experience in the civil construction industries
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience managing field engineering, inspection, and NDE activities in a construction environment.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
