Job Purpose/Role:
This role reports to the Head of CEO Office. You will be supporting the implementation of various strategic initiatives, planning and overall execution of the business plans in the Asia region for Allianz Commercial. The role will be instrumental in contributing towards the region's overall business performance by working alongside the regional management team on a variety of business topics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the regional strategic planning process as well as strategically important projects/workstreams with presentation materials (e.g. Board Updates, Country reviews and TEX projects etc.) backed by sound business analysis.
- Manage and drive strategic projects in the region, working alongside business leaders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones within agreed timeline and requirements. This requires the ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously.
- Data Analysis across different functional areas to support strategic decision making by the regional management team as well as to identify issues and/or problem areas that require further investigation. This includes report findings and respond to feedback along with robust rationale and explanations in conjunction with functional experts.
- Ad hoc support for the regional management team as and when required.
Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:
Required Experience
- Professional experience in (re)insurance, ideally P&C insurance.
- Proven experience in communication of results to a variety of stakeholders including senior management.
Required Education
- Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master) or qualified by experience.
Technical Skills
- Insurance know-how (ideally P&C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group. Basic claims knowledge is ideal.
- Understanding insurance data in general - ideally claims, underwriting, and finance.
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to identify potential causes of issues/problems.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
General Skills
- Analytical Thinking and Numeracy: Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g., ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distil key issues and provide insight in various situations.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively in respect to the audience / level of management (both verbal and in writing).
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
