Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes to ensure successful project delivery.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure project feasibility.
- Understand and oversee the technical aspects of digital projects, including web development, mobile applications, and/or digital marketing initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, collaborate and motivate cross-functional/regional project teams, including working along senior MDs, COO, Technical leaders.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring team members are clear on their roles and deadlines.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, progress, and any issues to stakeholders regularly.
- Gather and incorporate client feedback to refine project deliverables.
Execution and Delivery:
- Oversee the execution of project tasks to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure the quality and functionality of digital products meet or exceed client expectations.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
Resource Management:
- Allocate and manage project resources efficiently.
- Collaborate with HR and department heads to recruit and onboard project staff as needed.
- Manage third-party vendors and service providers when necessary.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Report on project progress, metrics, and financials to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage project risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.
- Implement best practices and processes for digital project management.
- Conduct project post-mortems and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in digital project management or a similar role
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale digital projects
- Proven experience of working with business and technology stakeholders across all levels to achieve successful outcomes
- Good understanding of software engineering practices using Agile/Lean methodology
- Experience the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), such as applications analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
- Able to translate business requirements into technical write ups succinctly
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, web development, and UX/UI principles.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, JIRA)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- PMP, ScrumMaster, or other relevant project management certification.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing strategies.
