Responsibilities:
- Plan and set sales forecasts and profit projections for business units to meet financial objectives.
- Discuss sales strategies and store sales achievements with retail team personnel.
- Track sales performance of all business units, follow up on stores’ weekly performance, and ensure monthly sales targets are met.
- Prepare monthly and other relevant sales reports with detailed analysis.
- Prepare annual sales targets for stores based on sales information provided.
- Oversee all stores in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur under three different retail concepts, including managing the opening of new retail stores.
- Responsible for visual merchandising displays, ensuring all stores are replenished and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Review, improve, and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all business units for a better working environment and effective team.
- Ensure stock losses are minimized as per management’s guidelines, ensure accurate inventory counts, and follow set procedures.
- Coordinate and work closely with other Heads of Departments (HODs) such as merchandising, marketing, logistics, and creative to resolve operational matters, address customer feedback and complaints, and boost sales through effective marketing programs.
- Coordinate with contractors on store renovations, maintenance, and reinstatement.
- Oversee all daily operations of business units, including manpower planning and control, housekeeping standards, and other operational issues.
- Conduct monthly store meetings to ensure new procedures, practices, and updates are communicated and discussed.
- Collaborate with the HR Department for manpower planning, recruitment, selection, and retention of staff to meet operational requirements, as well as manage staff compensation and benefits, including commission programs.
- Review sales targets and development daily, and monitor month-to-date sales against targets on a bi-weekly basis.
- Identify inventory or operational issues at the corporate level that may impact sales, discuss and develop solutions.
- Work closely with the marketing department to develop promotions, events, launches, and repositioning of the brands.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Retail, Business Studies, or equivalent.
- Min 5 years of experience in the retail industry, including managing multiple brands.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin to handle Mandarin-speaking customers.
- Highly customer service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact at all levels; strong analytical, report-writing, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, results-oriented, adaptable, self-driven, team player, resourceful, meticulous, with a keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach.
- Ability to excel under pressure, multitask, handle tight deadlines, and stay well-organized.
