We are representing our client in the Oil & Gas space in hiring for a Crude Oil Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and evaluate market data, trends, and statistics.
- Analyze market information to develop trading strategies for the team.
- Collaborate closely with crude oil traders.
- Assist the global analysis team in structuring market strategies for trading.
- Utilize advanced quantitative modeling techniques to create forecasts for oil market fundamentals (e.g., monthly supply-demand projections for the upcoming year, scenario planning for the next 5-10 years) and predict price trends.
Qualifications:
- Posseses at least a Bachelor's degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Business Management, Data Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in crude oil, petroleum, and petrochemical products trading companies or refineries; or experience in major or large trading companies' crude oil analysis teams
- Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills.
- Deep understanding of either upstream or downstream operations.
- Familiarity with crude supply and demand models and crude differential valuation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the global oil market and refining processes.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Proficient in English with excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Chinese, particularly in speaking and basic writing, to communicate and liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse group of people.
