Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-term business development strategies in target markets
- Proactively identifying and pursuing new opportunities
- Tendering: identification, preparation and submission of proposals
- Establishing, growing & maintaining client relationships
- Identifying, growing & maintaining relationships with Investment Funds to support real estate consultancy / development opportunities in the region.
- Structuring the strategic relationships with local consultancy outfits / institutions to facilitate corporation’s ability to deliver its projects
- Collaborating with other service divisions within the SJ Group to package consultancy contracts that will meet the expectations of the client
- Systematically initiating due diligence checks on all new clients and business opportunities identified, in close collaboration with our internal legal, compliance, finances, and risk departments
- Undertaking contract negotiations with clients as directed
- Undertaking selected high-level briefings to clients that will also include Senior Government figures and Heads of State as directed
Requirements
- A good degree from a recognized university/ institution in engineering
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and setting up own targets
- Excellent written and oral command of English, command of one or several African, South-Asian or South-East Asian languages will be an advantage
- Strong team player with good people relationship skills
- Is a fast learner, has initiative and is self-motivated to excel
- Prepared to travel across South-East Asia, South Asia and Africa on a regular basis
