Nomura's Operations department supports the company's business activities through efficient operational processes. Role Description / Areas of Responsibility
The candidate will be working within the AEJ Futures and Options team to support the listed derivative trading activities of Nomura. Daily responsibilities include:
- Setting up client accounts in internal and external platforms for any new client onboarding
- Complete and submit reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform daily review of the client’s margin balances held with Nomura to issue margin calls when required, monitor for incoming funds and process margin withdrawals.
- Monitor the firm’s trading activities with SGX and brokers to meet required margin requirements
- Review reports and reconciliation exceptions highlighted by internal teams to escalate issues to manager and relevant internal stakeholders
- Perform regular control checks to validate processes are completed per requirements.
Main responsibilities are:
- Complete all daily processes in accordance to Nomura internal/external policies and procedures
- Review of KRI to ensure risks and exceptions are resolved daily
- Escalate issues in a timely manner and work with stakeholders to resolve.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Proficiency in technical skills such as Python and VBA will be an advantage.
